St Stephens Primary School


As you will be aware, St Stephens is closed to the majority of pupils due to the spread of COVID-19. We are remaining open to the children of key workers who continue to keep our country going. If you are a parent in one of these vital roles, please get in contact with the school and we will do everything we can to support you at this stressful time.

Remote Learning

We are working remotely through online platforms, such as Google Classroom and Purplemash, to ensure that we are doing everything we can to stay in touch with our pupils. These platforms are closely monitored by staff, so it is a safe way for children to communicate, which is good for their well-being. The teachers allow chat between children using these sources so that they can feel connected to one another. 


Whilst we are continuing to set learning for the children online, this is not done to add to the stress of the current situation. If you do not complete all of the activities set by your child's teacher, please don't worry. We do need at least once a week contact from parents, but we do not want set learning to become a burden.


Where we are not able to communicate with parents online, by email or when delivering meals, the teaching staff will follow up with parents by phone so we can be assured all of our families are safe.


Free School Meals (FSM)

Our staff are working hard to ensure that families are getting their Free School Meals delivered to their homes, 3 times a week. Please be aware that we also have access to food bank vouchers and volunteer services, for deliveries or collection of essential items you may need.
