St StephensWelcome from the Chair of Governors
It is my pleasure to introduce you to the Governing Body of St Stephens School and give you a brief overview of what our core strategic functions involve in striving for the best education for your children.
We work closely with Mrs Landers and her team, providing that critical view on the direction of the school. The team are made up of a variety of people who we believe have the right skills to deliver on our purpose.
There are three key functions the Governing Body has to carry out:
1. Setting the schools vision, ethos and strategic direction;
2. Holding the Headteacher to account for the educational performance of the school and its pupils; and
3. Overseeing the financial performance of the school and making sure its money is well spent.
