Letters to Parents
We are delighted that your child has been offered a place in our wonderful school. Under normal circumstances we would be writing to you to invite you to a series of fantastic transition events, such as ‘Learning Together Sessions,’ ‘Home Visits,’ ‘Try a school dinner day’ and much more. We are hopeful that we will still be able to do some of these things, and as soon as we are able to offer these we will be in touch.
In the meantime we have a couple of little challenges for you all…
First challenge is to take a photo of your child for the front of their Learning Journey and email it to email@example.com. We will print these and stick them on to the front of their book ready for September. This will also be printed for the Class display board. Portrait photos work best and as much of their face as possible, so we can start learning some names!
Second challenge is to put something together about your child and your family. We always love coming on home visits and getting to know your child and your family before they start. It is also such a great way for children to get to know us too! If you could put something together, photos, drawings, however you want to present it, that would be great! These can be emailed, or you can send them to school or drop them at reception if you are out on your daily walk. These will also form part of a display in September about you and your family. Be as creative as you can!
We are looking forward to meeting you all and can’t wait to welcome you into our school community. If you have any questions, then please contact the school or you can email me at the address above.
Take care, stay safe and we hope to see you all very soon.
