Parents and grandparents, St Stephens needs You

Are you interested in taking a more active role in St Stephens?

We would love to recruit people to help in lots of ways – helping in the classroom, running clubs, working to improve the school grounds, being part of our fundraising team, sharing ideas and suggestions, etc.

Please contact Matt if you would like to be involved. You could also leave your name, telephone number or email address with the office for them to contact you with information.

Who are the 'Friends Group?'

WHO ARE THE ‘FRIENDS’ OF ST STEPHENS SCHOOL?

They are a group of parents, staff and governors, grand-parents and carers, who have got together to try and do things to enhance the life of the school.  Everyone who wants to help is a member of the 'Friends’ group!

WHAT DOES THE FRIENDS GROUP DO?

We aim to help the school by:

¨ providing a pool of practical hands-on support for the school

¨ fundraising for equipment and resources that the school budget is not able to fully support

¨ organising events and activities to enhance the school-life of our children

¨ helping parents and carers to become more involved with school life, giving everyone a sense of having a part to play in making the school a success.

WHAT WILL FUNDS RAISED BE USED FOR?

For subsidising school trips, purchasing additional playground equipment or maybe funding extra activities for the children - there are lots of 'extra' things that we could provide for the school.   If you have any ideas about how any funds raised should be spent, please come along to one of our meetings.

We also ask the staff and children of the school to come up with a ‘wish-list’, and this is used to help the group to choose our fundraising projects.

HOW CAN YOU HELP?

If you’ve got fundraising ideas, can help with publicity and organise events, or if you have any other practical skill to offer, please come along to our next meeting, or leave your name and contact details at the school office and someone from the Friends group will get in touch.

You don’t have to give very much of your time, or make a regular commitment – we are grateful for any offers of help.
