Pupil Premium
The Pupil Premium was first introduced in April 2011, and paid by means of a specific grant based on school census figures for pupils registered as eligible for FSM in reception to Year 11.
This category now includes any child that has been registered for FSM in the past 6 years (known as “Ever 6 FSM”).
A premium is also available for children whose parents are currently serving in the armed forces, or have done so over the past 4 years (Ever 4 measure). This service premium is designed to address the emotional and social well-being of these pupils.
Children who have been adopted from care or leaving care under a special guardianship or residence order will also attract a premium (LAC).
The Pupil Premium is additional to main school funding and is used by this school to address any underlying inequalities between children eligible by ensuring that funding reaches the pupils who need it most.
